Rep. Robert Dawson Sworn in, Receives Committee Assignments for the 2025-2026 Legislative Term

ATLANTA - State Representative Robert Dawson (D-Atlanta) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 13, 2025, marking his first day of the 2025-2026 legislative term.

"I am honored to begin this journey serving and representing our communities in District 65 and in the State of Georgia," said Rep. Dawson.

In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives' Committee on Assignments named Rep. Dawson to the Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Information and Audits and Intragovernmental Coordination committees.

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Robert Dawson represents the citizens of District 65, which includes portions of Coweta and Fulton counties. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and currently serves on the Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Information and Audits and Intragovernmental Coordination committees.
