Memphis Light, Gas and Water is governed by a Board of Commissioners who are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Memphis. Public meetings are held at 8:30 a.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month (unless otherwise noted) at the MLGW Administration Building, Board Room, 220 S. Main.

The next meeting will be held on July 1, 2026.

It is suggested that the public arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. Members of the public who wish to address the Board must submit a comment card to MLGW Security by 8:30 a.m. on the day of the meeting. When addressing the Board, one must state their name and the name of the organization they're representing. The Board's public comment procedures are governed by its Rules of Procedure, Section 5(g), also found online: mlgw.com/about/boardofcommissioners

Please Note: Pension Board meetings are held at 10 a.m. or immediately following the Board meeting and OPEB Committee meetings at 10:30 a.m. or immediately following the Pension Board meeting.
