Permanent speed limit returns to northbound SR 529 in Marysville in mid August
MARYSVILLE - Pacific Highway travelers will soon see the return of the permanent speed limit along a short stretch of State Route 529 through Marysville in Snohomish County.
The speed limit was reduced to 30 mph during construction in this area. Following completion of the SR 529/Snohomish River & Steamboat Slough - Bridge Repair, Rehab & Paint project, it is being returned to the permanent 45 mph on northbound SR 525 through Marysville between mileposts 5.62 and 6.04.
Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will replace the existing speed limit signs with new signs the week of Monday, Aug. 17. The new 45 mph speed limit is enforceable as soon as the signs are installed.
People traveling through the area can do their part to improve safety by following the speed limit, obeying posted signs and staying focused and sober while driving.
