Loma Linda University hosts Welcome Back Bash to start off the new school year

More than 3,500 Loma Linda University students, family members, faculty, and staff gathered on campus Monday, September 21, for the university's annual Welcome Back Bash, marking the start of a new academic year.

The event gave new and returning students an opportunity to reconnect with classmates and faculty while learning about resources and organizations available across campus.

Over 70 vendors from LLU and the surrounding community participated in the event. Campus departments and organizations, including the library, Student Activities, University Spiritual Care, Loma Linda University Church, SIMS, CAPS and others, hosted informational booths. University-wide student organizations were also represented throughout the event.

This year's theme, "Get Outside and Play," was reflected in activities and displays throughout the celebration. Attendees also enjoyed dinner prepared by LLU Catering. Items donated by participating vendors were distributed through opportunity drawings held every 15 minutes.
