Georgia DOT Seeks Public Input on FY 2027 Recreational Trails Program Grant Awards

ATLANTA - The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) is inviting public comment on projects selected by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for funding through the Fiscal Year 2027 Recreational Trails Program (RTP).

The awarded projects will be incorporated into the Informational Appendix of the current Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) for reference. Comments received during the public review period will be shared with the respective project sponsors.

The public comment period is now open and will close on November 10, 2026. Georgia DOT encourages residents, stakeholders, and interested parties to review the list of selected RTP grant recipients and provide feedback.

The FY 2027 Recreational Trails Program award recipients are available on the FY 2027-2030 STIP DNR Awarded Projects page within the Informational Appendix, available here.
