Traffic Advisory Stanislaus County 12/12/25

Various Closures On Interstate 5 - State Routes 99 And Sr-132

Stanislaus County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 and State Routes 99 (SR-99) and SR-132 for maintenance and construction work within Stanislaus County. Work will occur as follows:

Interstate 5

  • Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
    Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.

State Route 99

  • Long-term, full closure of the Enoch Christoffersen Rest Areas in Turlock for maintenance work.
  • Overnight, full on-ramp closure from Kansas Avenue to northbound SR-99 for bridge work beginning Sunday, December 14, through Friday, December 20, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

State Route 132

  • Overnight, one-way traffic control at Grimes Avenue/Maze Boulevard for utility work beginning Sunday, December 14 at 9:00 p.m. through Monday, December 15 at 4:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
