Washington, D.C. - Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today issued the following statement after the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released guidance to states on implementation of more frequent eligibility redeterminations in state Medicaid programs, which will create more red tape and rip coverage away from almost a million Americans.
"Today's announcement is another step down the road of the inhumane Republican health care agenda, which is squarely focused on higher costs for less health care," Wyden said. "This policy will create more red tape and higher costs for families and states, and result in Americans who count on affordable health coverage falling through the cracks."
