Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu Attends a Reception Marking the Founding Day of Saudi Arabia

On February 26, 2026, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu, upon invitation, attended the Founding Day reception hosted by the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in China and met with Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to China Abdulrahman Ahmad Al-Harbi.

Miao Deyu congratulated Saudi Arabia on its Founding Day, stating that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the heads of state of the two countries, China-Saudi Arabia relations have achieved remarkable progress. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Saudi Arabia comprehensive strategic partnership. China is willing to work with Saudi Arabia to achieve new outcomes in exchanges and cooperation across various fields, continuously enriching the strategic dimensions of China-Saudi Arabia relations. China will host the second China-Arab States Summit, and it is believed that with the support of Saudi Arabia and other countries, this summit will promote the comprehensive and in-depth development of China-Arab relations.

Abdulrahman Ahmad Al-Harbi stated that Saudi Arabia has always viewed its relations with China from a strategic and long-term perspective. In recent years, the two sides have actively implemented the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, firmly supported each other's core interests, vigorously expanded cooperation in various fields, and maintained close coordination in international and regional affairs. Saudi Arabia stands ready to make joint efforts with China to achieve even more fruitful results in areas such as economy, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges.
