Ellyn Enderlin, an associate professor in Boise State University's Department of Geosciences, has been appointed Boise State's representative to the Idaho NASA EPSCoR Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). She has led six NASA-funded projects developing and applying new methods to track changes in ice sheet extent, iceberg melting, mountain glacier speeds, and snow and ice in mountain regions using satellite observations. In 2025, she received a NASA Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.

Ellyn EnderlinEnderlin joins the statewide committee that plays a central role in shaping Idaho's NASA-aligned research agenda. The Idaho NASA EPSCoR program supports research development, collaboration, and infrastructure-building efforts tied to NASA's mission priorities, drawing on partnerships among the state's universities, industry representatives, and state leaders to strengthen research capacity and open new opportunities for faculty and students across Idaho.

As a member of the NASA-TAC, Enderlin will help review research initiation grant proposals, help shape funding and fellowship guidelines, weigh in on statewide research opportunities and challenges, and provide input on strategic planning tied to NASA EPSCoR activities. The committee also evaluates pre-proposals connected to the National NASA EPSCoR research solicitation and works to foster collaboration across institutions and disciplines statewide.
