Telkom Launches Bumi Berseru Fest 2026 to Conserve 'Our Homeland'

MALANG, August 29, 2026 - Indonesia is known as one of the countries with the world's greatest natural wealth and biodiversity. However, various environmental challenges such as deforestation, climate change, ecosystem degradation, pollution, and waste issues remain concerns that require collective attention and action. This condition highlights the importance of collective efforts to preserve the environment and ensure the sustainability of natural resources for future generations.

Public awareness and active involvement are essential parts of maintaining the sustainability of Indonesia's nature. In the spirit of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Month, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) presents Bumi Berseru Fest 2026 with the theme "Tanah Air Kita" (Our Homeland). This program is part of TelkomGroup's effort to invite the public to interpret independence through a joint movement to protect and preserve the environment.

Bumi Berseru Fest is a competition and environmental collaboration platform that creates space for the public, communities, creators, innovators, and environmental activists to present ideas, works, and actions for the earth's sustainability. Through this competition, various environmental initiatives and solutions are expected to receive appreciation while encouraging a broader environmental conservation movement in Indonesia.

Carrying the theme "Tanah Air Kita," Bumi Berseru Fest 2026 becomes a symbol that Indonesia's independence must also be interpreted as a spirit to protect nature from various threats of destruction. This spirit invites all elements of society not only to witness environmental issues but also to take part in presenting solutions for the earth's sustainability.

The series of Bumi Berseru Fest 2026 began with a Grand Launching held in Malang on August 29, 2026. As part of the collaborative spirit championed, 300 volunteers participated in an environmental conservation action by planting 300 tree seedlings. This activity represents the spirit of Bersama Telkom Jadi BISA (Together with Telkom, We Can) and the Aksi Lestari (Sustainable Action) collaborative movement from TelkomGroup.

Not only through greening actions, but the Grand Launching of Bumi Berseru Fest 2026 also featured an inspiring talk session emphasizing the importance of transforming awareness into action in facing various environmental challenges. This session provided a space for environmental activists to share perspectives and experiences, inspiring the public to take an active role in protecting the earth.

Through Bumi Berseru Fest 2026, Telkom opens opportunities for various parties to participate in several competition categories: Action for Earth, Nature in Lens, Eco Product Innovation, Green Technology & Sustainable Innovation, and Impactful Sustainability. These diverse categories represent various forms of contribution to the environment, ranging from ecosystem conservation and creative campaigns to the development of eco-friendly products, technology utilization, and sustainable programs that have made an impact.

Through this competition, Bumi Berseru Fest 2026 is expected to be a platform to discover and appreciate change-makers who consistently present solutions to various environmental issues.
