MoDOT: Christian County Route CC Intersection Improvements Project In Nixa To B…

Nixa, Christian County - A project to build a roundabout at Christian County Route CC, North Main Street, and West Cedar Street in Nixa, is scheduled to start the week of April 6, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The MoDOT held three public meetings-in July 2023, September 2024, and March 2026-to share project information and solicit public feedback.

Project Summary:

  • Build a roundabout at Christian County Route CC, North Main Street & West Cedar Street in Nixa to improve safety and traffic flow
  • Installing storm sewer
  • Roundabout improvements will tie into the City of Nixa's Main Street project
  • Pedestrian facilities are part of the intersection

Traffic Impacts:

  • Intersection closures will be in place during construction
  • Signed detour includes: Route 160, Route 14, and Route 65
  • Access to businesses will be provided at all times
  • Drivers urged to use alternate routes during construction to avoid the work zone
  • Electronic message boards and news releases will warn the public of closures
  • Check MoDOT's Traveler Information Map for road closures/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule .

Contractor: KCI Construction Co, Springfield

The estimated project construction cost is $5.7 million.

The project is scheduled for completion in Fall 2027.
