Media Advisory: Time to Pawty! Clear the Shelters Special Event at San José Animal Care Center

When: Saturday, Aug. 16 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Where: San José Animal Care Center 2750 Monterey Road San José, CA 95111 Background: The community is welcome at the San José Animal Care Center (ACS) to celebrate and find a new family member. In honor of Clear the Shelters, the event will include adoptions, family-friendly activities, resources, and more. With special appearances by Gigante, Sharkie, and the Gold Rush Cheerleaders. Adoption fees on all animals are waived. Help the shelter reach its goal of getting 50 animals into 'furever' homes this weekend. If you are unable to adopt, donations are always appreciated and will go to the shelter's Guardian Angel Fund, which provides medical attention to animals in need. Lastly, fostering a pet for as little as three days or as long as three months can help a shelter pet decompress and prepare for their 'furever' home.
