City of Iowa City seeking candidates for Police Officer
The City of Iowa City is now accepting applications for Police Officers. Entry level officer starting wage is $65,991 annually and certified Officer starting wage is commensurate with experience up to $98,087 annually. Iowa Law Enforcement Academy-certified officers also qualify for a $5,000 signing bonus.
The residency requirement has recently been expanded to living within 25 miles of the corporate limits of Iowa City within one year of hire.
The City of Iowa City offers a generous benefit package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid family and parental leave opportunities and paid vacation, holiday and sick leave. Police Officers participate in the Municipal Fire and Police Retirement System of Iowa.
