MPO Seeks Public Comment on Draft Program of Projects for FY 2026

The Greensboro Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) has released a draft of its Program of Projects (POP) for Fiscal Year 2026 for public review and comment from October 9 through November 8. The document is available for review at www.guampo.org.

The Draft POP details planned transit grants for Greensboro Transit Agency (GTA), Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART), and Guilford County Transportation and Mobility Services (TAMS) to be applied for during the current federal fiscal year (ending September 30, 2026).

A public hearing will be held during the MPO's Transportation Advisory Committee virtual meeting on Wednesday, November 12, at 2 pm. Individuals wishing to speak must notify staff by 5 pm on Friday, November 7, by emailing [email protected]. The Greensboro MPO coordinates transportation planning for much of Guilford County, including the City of Greensboro and the Towns of Oak Ridge, Pleasant Garden, Sedalia, Stokesdale, and Summerfield. Burlington, Gibsonville, Whitsett, High Point, and Jamestown are outside the MPO's planning area. The MPO's policy board includes elected officials from Greensboro and Guilford County, along with a member of the North Carolina Board of Transportation.
