Residential collections will run on a modified schedule during the holidays, and extra bags will be allowed to accommodate holiday disposal needs.
There will be no collections (garbage, recycling, yard waste or bulk) on Thursday, Dec. 25, or Thursday, Jan. 1. If your normal collection day is on Thursday, your pickup will be shifted to Friday; Friday services will be shifted to Saturday. All residential collections will resume normal schedules on Monday, Jan. 5.
All residents are allowed two extra bags of garbage on their first pickup day following each holiday. The two extra bags are to be set on the curb next to your brown garbage cart on your appropriate collection day and should not exceed a standard 32-gallon kitchen trash bag. There is no added fee for this service.

Reporting missed collections
Extra bags will be collected by a separate truck on your collection day and may be picked up at different times than your carts. Please be patient and refrain from calling to report a missed collection if your extra bags and carts are not collected at the same time. However, if there is an issue, please contact our 311 Fort Worth Contact Center at 817-392-1234 or use the MyFW app.
The City has four Drop-Off Station locations where residents can bring excess garbage, recycling, yard waste or bulk waste. In observance of Christmas, the City's four Drop-Off Stations and the ECC will be closed Dec. 25 and will reopen Dec. 26. The Drop-Off Stations and ECC will also be closed Jan. 1 in observance of New Year's Day and will reopen Jan. 2.
