Aviation Code amended with civil aviation regulations

The Federal Law amends the Aviation Code of the Russian Federation by adding norms governing civil aviation operations.

In particular, according to the Federal Law, a lease agreement for a crew-operated aircraft involved in the international carriage of passengers, luggage and post by air, signed between an operator and a foreign aviation enterprise acting as a lessee or lessor, must comply with national laws of the states represented by the parties to the lease agreement, as well as with any international treaties signed by the Russian Federation. Aircraft leased this way are allowed to carry out aviation operations, provided that there is a valid operation permit issued by a federal executive body in charge of civil aviation policy and legal regulation.
