FIATA continues to support the Global Sustainability Supply Chain Student Competition, an initiative led by the Global Supply Chain Classroom and endorsed by the United Nations Group of Friends of Sustainability. The competition calls on university students worldwide to propose solutions to sustainability challenges in supply chains.
FIATA Members are invited to submit real-life sustainability cases from their operations by 20 August 2025. These cases will serve as the basis for students to explore issues such as emissions reduction, ethical sourcing, and digital transformation. Case guidelines are available here.

On 16 July, representatives from key organisations such as IPCSA, the Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA), Terminal Industry Committee 4.0 (TIC4.0), the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT) and FIATA gathered in Rotterdam to advance the Supply Chain Resilience in Ports initiative.The meeting focused on improving access to port data and enhancing interoperability across multimodal transport systems.
