Craig Kahler Joins ORIX Capital Partners

ORIX Capital Partners (OCP) announced today that Craig Kahler has joined the firm as Managing Director. In this role, he is responsible for building the middle-market private equity business, designing and executing strategies that leverage OCP's capabilities and competitive advantages, overseeing the New York-based investment team's activities, and maintaining and developing client relationships.

Kahler will also serve on the OCP investment committee, playing a key role in investment strategy and assessing performance. He will report to Chris Suan, President and Senior Managing Director for ORIX Capital Partners.

"Craig's background and investing experience will not only strengthen the ORIX Capital Partners team but will also help drive our asset management growth plans," Suan said. "He will play a vital role as we continue to collaborate with our partners, build our portfolio of middle-market companies and execute the growth plans we established in 2016."

Kahler brings 16 years of middle-market private equity investing experience, having most recently led the New York-based private equity team of Safanad, a global principal investment firm he joined in 2014. Prior to joining Safanad, Kahler was a Portfolio Manager with BlueMountain Capital Management and Principal at H.I.G. Capital. He started his career at Willis Stein & Partners and Credit Suisse First Boston.
