On the Meeting of Experts in Physical Education and Sports

On February 25, 2026, a meeting of experts from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states was held on the initiatives of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation in the field of physical education and sports. The event took place via videoconference with the participation of representatives from the relevant ministries and departments of the SCO member states, as well as the SCO Secretariat.

During the meeting the parties agreed upon the draft Regulations on the Working Group on Physical Education and Sports of the SCO Member States.

Furthermore, the parties discussed the preparation progress for the next meeting of the heads of ministries and departments responsible for the development of physical education and sports of the SCO member states. This meeting is scheduled for May 1, 2026, in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.
