NMMA's Recreational Boating Industry Monthly Data Summary for January 2025 is now available for download. This summary report includes performance indicators on wholesale and retail sales of new powerboats and outboard engines, economic metrics, and interactive graphs illustrating historical trends. In the latest report, broad market conditions and economic uncertainty continued to impact buying decisions on large purchases, including boats, cars and houses.

The report, which utilizes available data through October 2024, includes data on new powerboat retail sales, which decreased 9.5%, compared to the previous year. This sales normalization can be attributed to lingering pandemic-driven demand shifts and the impact of rising interest rates, among other economic uncertainties shaping the industry's current landscape.
