EU Commission announces reforms to ESG reporting

The European Commission has adopted a new package of proposals to simplify and streamline ESG reporting and regulatory requirements. These changes, aimed at boosting business competitiveness and investment, follow the January leak of the Omnibus package. While the proposal has not yet become EU legislation, it is on a fast-track approval process, so no major changes are anticipated.
