Court Operations During Federal Government Shutdown

In the event the United States Congress does not enact a Continuing Resolution by midnight Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the Federal Judiciary will not shut down. The United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of New York, will remain open for business as usual. Hearings and trials will continue without interruption. Applications, hearings and other matters may be scheduled with the Court as usual. Public access to the Court, whether in person or through the Court's electronic filing system, will not be affected.
