Winnipeg, MB- Residents can now interact with various City services in one central spot.
MyAccount is a new, secure, mobile-friendly online hub designed to make navigating personalized services easier.
"Winnipeggers expect City services to be as easy to use as the online tools they rely on every day," said Mayor Scott Gillingham. "When residents can find information, submit requests, and track progress in one place, it saves time, reduces frustration, and improves the level of service they receive."
Once a user creates their account, they can add their home address to their profile to see information tailored to their location.
This includes recycling and garbage collection details, and information about seasonal operations like snow clearing zones, parking bans, and insect control, among other important information specific to a user's address.
"The MyAccount citizen portal is just one example of how the City is leveraging technology to streamline the services Winnipeggers rely on," said Councillor Matt Allard, City Council's Technology and Innovation Liaison. "It's important that we continue to explore new and innovative ways to improve the delivery of services and enhance the customer experience."
Users can also view and track the service requests they submit using self-service online forms while logged in to MyAccount. The City has 60 topic-based forms residents can select from of our most frequently received requests.
"This is a great resource for residents who want to quickly and conveniently submit a service request using our self-service online forms," said David Driedger, Interim Director of Customer Service & Communications. "One of the benefits is that you'll be able to view and track the status of your service requests submitted through MyAccount once you log in."
Residents who have a MyUtility account will be able to link it to their MyAccount. This will let them access both accounts with a single login and password.
This is the first phase of the project, and we will continue to integrate more City services. That means users won't have to remember multiple credentials and will be able to access their services from a central hub.
"The launch of MyAccount is an important step in our drive to improve the digital customer experience," said Marceli Walczak, Director of Innovation & Technology. "The single sign-on feature will enhance the user experience and streamline how people access City services."
