Washington, D.C. - The International Republican Institute (IRI), a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting freedom and democracy around the world, stands with the people of Ukraine as Russia's illegal invasion enters its fifth year.

Since 2022, Vladimir Putin and his criminal regime have committed a plethora of war crimes - intentionally targeting and killing civilians, kidnapping and forcibly repatriating Ukrainian children to Russia, bombing schools and hospitals, and so much more - in their thuggish, yet failed attempt to subjugate the Ukrainian people to their imperial designs.

What was predicted to be a quick defeat has turned into a defiant defense. Ukrainians continue to inspire us with their bravery and willingness to take on great hardship as they continue to resist Putin's efforts to terrorize them. IRI will continue to stand with Ukraine in its noble fight against tyranny.
