Governor and First Lady McMaster’s Portraits Unveiled at Governor’s Mansion

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Governor Henry McMaster and First Lady Peggy McMaster today unveiled their official portraits at the Governor's Mansion.

"There is no greater privilege than serving the people of South Carolina, and I have been proud to see our state become stronger and more prosperous during my time in public office," said Gov. McMaster. "Peggy and I are grateful for the opportunity we have had to contribute to this great state, and it is an honor to have our portraits displayed here at the Governor's Mansion."

The portraits were commissioned by the Governor's Mansion Commission and Foundation and will remain on display at the Mansion alongside the portraits of South Carolina's former governors.

The portraits were painted by Robert A. Anderson, a nationally recognized portrait artist who has completed more than 250 commissioned portraits of notable figures in government, academia and business. Anderson is a graduate of Yale University and studied portraiture at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
