CER joins a broad coalition of industry stakeholders representing the rail, airline and hospitality sectors in a joint statement marking two years since the European Commission opened proceedings against Alphabet for non-compliance with Article 6(5) of the Digital Markets Act (DMA) regarding Google Search.
More than three years have now passed since the DMA entered into force and intensive engagement began.
Despite sustained dialogue, workshops and multiple proposal rounds, compliance has still not been achieved. European consumers and businesses continue to face uncertainty, limited and potentially unfair visibility and a lack of clarity regarding how - and when - effective solutions will be implemented.
