Key priorities in the President's domestic and foreign policy included achieving real peace, strengthening Ukraine's air defense - particularly accelerating the delivery of air defense systems and missiles - expanding drone production funding, advancing security guarantees, increasing pressure on Russia, exploring the use of frozen Russian assets to defend and rebuild Ukraine, accelerating EU membership negotiations, implementing the PURL initiative and SAFE instrument, supporting Ukrainians' resilience, and returning Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

In particular, in September, Ukraine welcomed: President of Finland Alexander Stubb; President of the European Council António Costa; President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola; Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico; The Princess Royal, Princess Anne of the United Kingdom; Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, Denmark, Lithuania, Poland, and Sweden; coalition leaders of the German Bundestag; U.S. Special Presidential Envoy General Keith Kellogg; and Advisors to the leaders of the UK, France, Germany, and Italy.

Additionally, the President carried out working visits to Denmark, France, and the United States. In Copenhagen, he met with Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen and attended a summit of the Nordic-Baltic Eight heads of state and government. In Paris, Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of France Emmanuel Macron and participated in a Coalition of the Willing meeting, attended by representatives of over 35 countries - all of free Europe, Canada, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

On the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly in New York, the Ukrainian delegation held over 40 meetings with partners in various formats. This included a productive meeting between President of Ukraine and U.S. President Donald Trump, during which they discussed several forward-looking ideas for achieving peace, the PURL initiative, and potential projects within it.

"President Trump is very well informed about the situation on the front, what the Russians are doing, and how they are trying to deceive everyone. We are discussing with the U.S. specific measures that can stop this war. The solutions exist. It is crucial that the agreements we have reached be implemented," stressed Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Also in New York, co-chaired by the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Canada, the first Summit of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children at the leader level took place, with over 40 delegations attending, including more than 15 heads of state and government, Queen Mathilde of Belgium, Queen Silvia of Sweden, First Ladies and Gentlemen, and representatives of governments and international organizations. The next such summit will be held in Brussels under the joint chairmanship of Ukraine and the European Commission.

"Let the result of this Coalition meeting be support for initiatives to find, return, and reintegrate our children, and real pressure on Russia through sanctions. We must turn attention into action. We need your support and the support of partners in the General Assembly," emphasized Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

For the first time on a global platform at the UN General Assembly, the international Crimea Platform Summit was held, with over 60 participants.

"This is to show the global harm caused by Russia's occupation of Crimea - and also the harm caused by the world's powerful nations for not responding firmly and in time to Russia's aggression in Crimea. It was that weak reaction that brought back Russia's addiction to war and raids," stated the Head of State.

The President also attended the UN Security Council high-level meeting on Ukraine and the General Debate of the UN General Assembly, stressing that UN member states must exert effective pressure on Russia to stop its war and halt the arms race threatening global catastrophe.

"It depends on you - whether you help peace or continue trading with Russia and helping Russia to fund this war. It depends on you - whether prisoners of war will be freed, whether abducted children will come home, whether hostages will be free. It depends on you - what will define existence: war - like now, or our joint strong actions - as it should be," said the Head of State.

In September, Volodymyr Zelenskyy also met with the Presidents of Angola, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Panama, South Africa, Syria, France, Switzerland, the Kings of Sweden and Spain, the Prince of Monaco, the Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein, the Prime Minister of Spain, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, NATO and Organization of American States Secretaries General, the President of the 80th UN General Assembly, the IMF Managing Director, U.S. Special Presidential Envoy General Keith Kellogg, a bipartisan and bicameral U.S. Congress delegation, representatives of the American Jewish Committee, and CEOs of leading American companies.

Ukraine achieved a record level of participation from leaders and representatives of states and international organizations from all continents in events either organized by Ukraine or related to the country's key priorities. Agreements were reached on new defense packages, expansion of the PURL initiative, and the opening of export platforms in four directions: the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and the African continent. During the New York meeting, Ukraine and Syria also restored diplomatic relations.

In addition, in September, the Head of State conducted nearly 20 phone calls with the Presidents of Moldova, Timor-Leste, Finland, France, the Emir of Qatar, and Prime Ministers of the UK, Denmark, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Norway, the President of the European Commission, and NATO and UN Secretaries-General, as well as the President of the International Olympic Committee.

Key topics included developing security guarantees, strengthening sanctions against Russia, expanding defense cooperation, and responding to Russia's violations of NATO countries' airspace. In September, airspace violations, including by drones, were recorded in Poland, Romania, Denmark, Norway, and Estonia.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy offered Ukraine's assistance in building air defense and expanding cooperation to reliably protect the skies. In Denmark, Ukrainian military personnel began deploying a mission to share Ukraine's experience in countering drones.

Emphasizing the need to respond to Russian threats, the President also spoke online at the annual Warsaw Security Forum.

"Ukraine proposes to Poland and all our partners to build a joint, truly reliable shield against Russian aerial threats. And this is possible. Ukraine can counter all types of Russian drones and missiles, and if we act together in the region, we will have enough weapons and production capacity for this," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Head of State also participated in the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, the Ambrosetti International Economic Forum, the annual Yalta European Strategy meeting, and the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.

Last month, significant progress was achieved in multiple areas. Security guarantees: 26 countries agreed to contribute to ensuring Ukraine's security with backing from the U.S., confirming Ukraine's needs in the air, at sea, and on land. Increasing pressure on Russia: Ukraine adopted five decisions to impose sanctions and synchronize partner sanctions within Ukraine's jurisdiction. In September, the U.S., UK, Canada, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand also took sanction measures; progress continues toward the 19th EU sanctions package. PURL initiative: new contributions, with a total exceeding USD 2 billion, and the first U.S. weapons packages began delivery. A new Swedish defense package worth USD 836 million was also approved. Return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia: Ukraine, together with partners, launched a tracing mechanism and is preparing a UN General Assembly resolution condemning the abduction and deportation of Ukrainian children.
