ATLANTA - State Representative Lee Hawkins (R-Gainesville), chairman of the House Health Committee, recently recognized Andrew Collinson of Gainesville with House Resolution 1414 for his involvement with the nonprofit, Running 4 Heroes.
"I was honored to have been able to recognize Andrew Collinson on the House floor and present him with this resolution," said Rep. Hawkins. "Through his involvement with Running 4 Heros, Andrew has exemplified the ideals of leadership, respect and selflessness, while honoring our nations fallen first responders. Andrew is an outstanding citizen of Gainesville, and we're proud of him for his work to honor first responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to bring exemplary citizens, like Andrew, to the Capitol and recognize them for their impactful work in our communities."
Running 4 Heroes is a nonprofit that works to support families of fallen first responders. Through the organization, volunteers run one mile for every first responder who has fallen in the line of duty, and they send the flag that was carried to the family and/or agency of the fallen hero along with a handwritten note.

Representative Lee Hawkins represents the citizens of District 27, which includes portions of Hall and Lumpkin counties. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2012 and currently serves as Chairman of the Health Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health, Banks & Banking, Human Relations & Aging, Insurance, Regulated Industries and Rules committees, as well as the Special Committee on Healthcare. He also serves as an Ex-Officio member of the Public and Community Health Committee.
