Southbound Appian Way Over Crossing Closed

Contra Costa County - Caltrans has closed the southbound direct of the Appian Way Over Crossing for undetermined amount of time for a thorough inspection of the over crossing. All on and off ramps will remain open. No left turns will be allowed off westbound Interstate 80 (I-80).

Detour Details

Westbound travelers will take the Fitzgerald/Richmond Parkway exit and turn left cross over the overpass then keep straight to access the western end of Fitzgerald or reenter I-80 Eastbound and take the Appian Way exit to access the eastern end of Fitzgerald and Appian Way.

Important Notes

  • All on and off ramps will remain open.
  • 2 Changeable Message Signs are activated on Westbound Interstate 80 (I-80).
  • No estimated time for reopening.
