West Coast MCC Sale continues longstanding tradition at FPU with record impact

The West Coast Mennonite Relief Sale returned to campus this past weekend, continuing a longstanding tradition at Fresno Pacific University of hosting an event rooted in service, generosity and global impact. This year's sale drew thousands of guests and raised approximately $211,000 to support Mennonite Central Committee's relief, development and peacebuilding efforts worldwide, marking a 15% increase over last year.

Throughout the weekend, campus grounds were filled with activity as attendees gathered for food, fellowship and a wide range of auction and shopping opportunities. A highlight of the event was the quilt auction, featuring hundreds of handcrafted quilts, each one reflecting hours of careful work and creativity. The auction remains a cornerstone of the sale, drawing strong participation year after year.

The success of the event was made possible by the collective efforts of volunteers who served across every area of the sale. From early morning setup to final cleanup, and from hospitality and food service to auction coordination and logistics, volunteers played a critical role in creating a smooth and welcoming experience for all who attended.

Beyond the financial outcome, the MCC Sale continues to represent a shared commitment to serving others and supporting communities around the world. Its ongoing presence at Fresno Pacific University reflects both a meaningful partnership and a tradition that continues to bring people together for a greater purpose.
