OTTAWA, September 22, 2025 - Burson Canada, part of the Burson Group, announced that Cynthia (Cyndi) Jenkins has joined the firm as Vice-President, Public Affairs, based in the Ottawa office. Cyndi brings more than two decades of senior political and policy experience at both the provincial and federal levels. Her appointment further strengthens the firm's ability to deliver strategic counsel and insight to clients navigating Canada's complex political and regulatory landscape.

Most recently, Cyndi played a pivotal role in setting up and establishing Mark Carney's government. She advised on senior staffing decisions, organizational structure, and strategic priorities, helping to build a strong foundation for the administration. Over her career, she has worked for two Prime Ministers, two Premiers, and five federal ministers across six portfolios. As a proud Atlantic Canadian, Cyndi holds a Law Degree from the University of New Brunswick and is a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Bar.
During the past decade, Cyndi has overseen the introduction of significant policy and legislative initiatives, including the Pension for Life veterans benefit regime, pharmacare legislation at Health Canada, and various regulatory reforms. Cyndi has deep experience in health policymaking, immigration, and other highly regulated, hot-button areas that will be a major asset to Burson clients, especially those engaging with our H&K public affairs specialists.
