Local organisations working with the Armed Forces community have benefited from Council funding to enhance or set up new services across Hart.
The six successful groups received grants from the Armed Forces Community Support Fund to strengthen their outreach work with serving members and their families, veterans and cadets.
Projects include support hubs for children, cadets and veterans, setting up a new drum corps, the purchase of military standards and educational tools to local cadet groups to promote leadership, and helping young people from military and civilian families gain accredited qualifications through the Youth Voice Ambassador Scheme.
Councillor Stuart Bailey, portfolio holder for Community at Hart District Council, said: "We have pledged to ensure that our Armed Forces community will not be disadvantaged in accessing our services as a result of their service in the military. This latest funding will help us build on this promise by supporting community groups that do such a great job of improving the quality of life for service families and veterans."
