This evidence will feed into the upcoming Joint Communication on the International Digital Strategy, developed with High Representative/Vice-President Kaja Kallas.

Set for release in the coming weeks, this joint communication will outline the EU's strategy to strengthen its role as a global digital player, advance its strategic interests in the field of technology and digital transformation and support the digital transformation of partner countries.

This includes actions to foster the EU's technological sovereignty, democracy, and strengthen its security and defence. It will build on recent progress in developing a network of digital partnerships and alliances with partner countries across the world, and on establishing the EU's digital diplomacy.

The call will gather views, facts, and evidence to better understand the underlying challenges and possible solutions, as well as the expected impact of proposed actions.

A variety of stakeholders, including tech companies, trade associations, national EU and third country authorities, civil society, non-governmental organisations, academia and citizens, can share their views by 21 May.
