Iowa City Update: Safe disposal of vape devices, Bike to Work breakfast, and Telling Iowa’s Stories with Charity Nebbe

Iowa City Update is a weekly video featuring City of Iowa City projects, programs, and events. Topics this week include a new program to keep vapes out of our landfill, a free breakfast to kick-off Bike to Work Week, and a Library fundraiser featuring Charity Nebbe.

Because nicotine vapes contain hazardous chemicals and fire-prone batteries, the Iowa City Landfill and Recycling Center has launched a disposal program to give residents a safer way to get rid of them.

Fuel your ride at Bike to Work Week with a free breakfast burrito, coffee (bring your mug!), and hands-on bus bike rack practice at Chauncey Swan Park.

Support our Library and be inspired by Charity Nebbe as she shares powerful stories and insights on public media - grab your tickets for this special fundraising event today.
