Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with the Director-General of UNESCO

On October 31, 2025, on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the National Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan for UNESCO, Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Director-General of UNESCO, Ms. Audrey Azoulay.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in priority areas, including science and education, the protection of cultural heritage, the natural sciences, as well as water-related issues.

It was emphasized that Tajikistan attaches particular importance to the further development of cooperation with UNESCO and stands ready to make an active contribution to the promotion of joint initiatives at the regional and global levels.

Taking into account the completion of Ms. Audrey Azoulay's tenure as Director-General of UNESCO, the Tajik side expressed its gratitude for her valuable contribution to the strengthening of cooperation with UNESCO.
