On June 16, 2026, Ambassador Jia Guide, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, met with Ambassador Gennady Gatilov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation. Senior diplomats from both missions attended the meeting.

The two sides stated that they will earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the two Heads of State, strengthen communication and coordination on multilateral platforms in Geneva, and continue to inject strong impetus into the development of bilateral relations. The two sides also had an in-depth exchange of views on reforming and improving global governance, among other issues.
