PT TIMAH Deploys Fire Fighter Personnel with MIND ID Group to Help Tackle Forest and Land Fires in West Kalimantan

PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk has deployed its Emergency Response Team (ERT), consisting of Fire Fighter personnel, together with the MIND ID Group to help tackle forest and land fires (karhutla) in West Kalimantan.

The Fire Fighter personnel deployed by PT TIMAH come from several of the company's operational areas and are trained professionals with expertise in handling emergency situations, particularly fires.

In carrying out their duties, PT TIMAH's Fire Fighter personnel are equipped with various firefighting equipment and personal protective equipment to ensure their safety while working amid smoke and challenging fire conditions.

The deployment of Fire Fighter personnel is part of PT TIMAH and the MIND ID Group's support for efforts to tackle forest and land fires in West Kalimantan. The mobilization of personnel is carried out by prioritizing preparedness, safety, and coordination with relevant authorities and parties at the scene.

PT TIMAH President Director Restu Widiyantoro, together with MIND ID President Director Maroef Sjamsoeddin, also directly monitored and accompanied the team as they departed to carry out their duties in response to the forest and land fires in Kalimantan.

MIND ID President Director Maroef Sjamsoeddin emphasized that this humanitarian initiative stems from the commitment to always be present alongside communities during times of crisis. MIND ID ensures that its assistance programs are carried out holistically, extending beyond the disaster response phase to the recovery process moving forward.

"This initiative is a form of our concern for the environment and communities. The presence of MIND ID Group volunteers is part of our collective effort to accelerate the control of fire hotspots while helping reduce health risks and disruptions to the activities of communities," he said while visiting the affected area in Mempawah on Friday (September 4, 2026).

PT TIMAH Corporate Secretary Ruddy Nursalam said that 15 Fire Fighter personnel had been assigned to help tackle the forest and land fires in West Kalimantan.

"PT TIMAH, together with the MIND ID Group, has deployed Fire Fighter personnel to help respond to the forest and land fires in West Kalimantan. The personnel assigned are members of a team with expertise in handling fire-related emergencies and are ready to support firefighting efforts in the field," he said.

He expressed hope that all personnel would carry out their duties with discipline, maintain teamwork, and prioritize safety throughout their deployment at the fire-affected locations.

PT TIMAH's Emergency Response Team capabilities have not only been utilized to respond to emergencies in the company's operational areas but can also be deployed to support disaster response efforts and emergency situations requiring trained personnel and resources.

Through synergy with the MIND ID Group, PT TIMAH is helping strengthen efforts to tackle forest and land fires in West Kalimantan. The presence of Fire Fighter personnel is expected to help accelerate firefighting efforts while supporting the protection of communities and the environment in the affected areas. (*)
