The University of South Florida will celebrate Homecoming Oct. 12-18 with a week of activities to showcase Bull pride with the theme of Forever Green and Gold. Homecoming is one of USF's oldest and most treasured traditions.
The Tampa Bay community is invited to join students, alumni, faculty and staff for the festivities, which include a kickoff event, parade and the USF football game on Saturday, Oct. 18, when the Bulls take on the Florida Atlantic Owls at Raymond James Stadium.
USF's Homecoming dates back to 1964, one year after the first graduating class. It provides an opportunity to celebrate the impact USF alumni make on the Tampa Bay region and beyond. There are more than 397,000 living USF alumni; approximately 301,000 of them live in Florida and more than 3,100 work at their alma mater.
The following events are open to the community:
Monday, Oct. 13 | 1 p.m. | Homecoming Kick Off (Marshall Student Center Amphitheater | Tampa campus)
Get in the spirit of Homecoming with appearances by President Rhea Law, Rocky D. Bull, the Herd of Thunder band and USF Spirit Squad.
Friday, Oct. 17 | 6:30 p.m. | Running of the Bulls Parade (Tampa campus | Watch along Holly Drive, Genshaft Drive and Alumni Drive)
