TDS Telecom names Jeffery Norton Volunteer of the Quarter

APPLETON, Wis. (March 11, 2026) - TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) has named an Appleton associate as its latest Volunteer of the Quarter, which recognizes TDS associates who go above and beyond to support the communities where they live and work.

Jeffrey Norton, a direct sales representative, was honored for his exceptional commitment to community service and volunteerism throughout the Fox Cities and beyond for the fourth quarter of 2025. TDS encourages community involvement through its Be Good Citizens program, which provides associates with paid volunteer time each quarter. Norton has taken that opportunity and expanded it well beyond the program's scope-supporting dozens of nonprofit organizations and inspiring coworkers to get involved alongside him.

In December 2025 alone, Norton estimates he supported more than 30 nonprofit organizations, lending his time to causes ranging from suicide prevention and veteran services to humane societies, food pantries, and local youth programs. His generosity doesn't stop after the holidays. Throughout the year, Norton focuses his volunteer efforts on different causes each month-supporting Special Olympics in January, heart health organizations in February, the March of Dimes and women's and infant health initiatives in March, sexual assault prevention programs in April, and many more as the year goes on.

What sets Norton apart, colleagues say, isn't just the number of organizations he supports, but his desire to bring others along with him.

"For me, it's about showing people that even a couple of hours can make a real difference," Norton said. "It doesn't always mean giving money. Giving your time-and your heart-can truly change someone's life, especially around the holidays when families are struggling."

Before joining TDS in September 2025, Norton spent decades working behind the scenes in fundraising and community support. Even now, he prefers to keep the spotlight off himself.

"I normally don't take recognition for nonprofit work," he said. "This is just something I believe people should do."
