Westbound I-580 Overnight 9-Hour Full Closure of at the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge Toll Plaza in Contra Costa County

Saturday, Nov. 14, from 11 p.m. to Sunday, Nov. 15, at 8 a.m.

Contra Costa/Marin Counties - Caltrans will perform a complete closure of Westbound Interstate 580 (I-580) on the Richmond San Rafael Bridge beginning at 11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14 and continuing until 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15.

To ensure the safety of construction personnel and motorists, westbound I-580 will be closed beginning at Canal Street and/or Castro Street. Please refer to the detour maps. Stenmark Drive will remain open only to local traffic. The closure will support installation of the Overhead Toll Gantry System, which is part of the First Open Road Tolling System initiative in the Bay Area.

Note: Pedestrian/bike path will be closed during this time.
