MPPD apprehends burglary suspect responsible for multiple bike thefts

Menlo Park, Calif. - The Menlo Park Police Departmentis pleased to announce the successful apprehension of a burglary suspect believed to be responsible for a string of bike thefts across several residences in the Menlo Park area that occurred in December 2024.

Following an intensive investigation led by Menlo Park Police, detectives identified the suspect as Brenden Orallo, 20 years old of San Jose, California. Menlo Park Detectives submitted the findings of a thorough investigation to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office for the issuance of an arrest warrant for Orallo. Detectives were able to recover property stolen by Orallo.

Orallo is currently in custody at the San Mateo County Jail. Menlo Park Police Department Detectives spoke with the suspect who admitted to burglarizing approximately three residences for the sole purpose of stealing bicycles.
