Ceremony dedicated to the 111th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

On the occasion of the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia organized a commemorative ceremony at the Khojivank Pantheon of Armenian public figures in Tbilisi, honoring the victims of the Genocide.
Ambassador A. Smbatyan and the embassy staff laid a wreath at the khachkar memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Heads and members of diplomatic missions accredited in Georgia, as well as representatives of the Armenian community of Georgia, also paid their respects and laid flowers.
Aram Mikayelyan, a representative of the Armenian community in Georgia and an actor at the P. Adamyan Tbilisi State Armenian Drama Theatre, noted in his speech that on April 24, in the Republic of Armenia and in almost all countries where Armenians live, the Armenian people commemorate the victims of the Armenian Genocide carried out in the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the 20th century.
Musical performance at the commemorative event was given by duduk players from Armenia, Harutyun Chkolyan and Karen Sirakanyan.
