Grammy-nominated rock band Fuel makes Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland ‘shimmer’ July 17

ROLAND, Okla. - Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland will welcome the Grammy Award-nominated rock band Fuel at 8 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Lee Creek Tavern inside the casino.

Fuel's return to the stage marks a powerful new chapter for the multiplatinum band. Known for standout hits like "Shimmer," "Bittersweet" and "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)," the band reunites with a new album that blends its signature sound with a fresh, creative direction.

The new sound brings together founder, guitarist and songwriter Carl Bell with longtime drummer Kevin Miller and new members Aaron Scott (lead vocals, guitar), Mark Klotz (guitar, vocals) and Tommy Nat (bass, vocals).

Together, the band released its first album in nearly two decades, "Ånomåly," a project reflecting the band's evolution and legacy. Written, produced and mixed by Bell, the album showcases sharpened songwriting and renewed chemistry among the band members while maintaining the melodic hard rock foundation that defines Fuel. The album is led by "Hard," an energy-charged single kickstarted by a bludgeoning riff and fragmented guitars evolving into a rapid-fire hook of pure rock.

Fuel first gained national attention with its 1998 debut, "Sunburn," which went platinum and featured hit singles like "Shimmer" and "Bittersweet." The band's momentum continued with the double-platinum follow-up, "Something Like Human," driven by the chart-topping anthem "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)," which held the No. 1 spot for 13 weeks and remains one of the most recognized alternative rock songs of its era. Over the years, Fuel's music has been featured across film, television and major events.

Now blending its celebrated past with a modern edge, the band will deliver a high-energy rock experience not to miss.

The show is free to those 21 and older.
