Hyatt Centric The Ring Chengdu Debuts as The First Hyatt Centric Hotel in Southwest China

The 258-room centrally located hotel immerses guests in the neighborhood spirit while connecting them to the heart of modern Chengdu

Chicago (December 10 , 20 25 ) -- Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today the opening of Hyatt Centric The Ring Chengdu, marking the introduction of the Hyatt Centric brand in Southwest China. Situated in the heart of Chengdu's revitalized Panchenggang district, where nostalgic neighborhoods intersect with modern city life, Hyatt Centric The Ring Chengdu offers a fresh approach to urban exploration that is culturally rich and immersive.

Here, savvy travelers can easily explore the contrasting charms of Chengdu, famed as the home of the giant panda and the birthplace of vibrant Sichuan cuisine. Directly linked to The Ring lifestyle mall, the hotel offers seamless access to upscale shopping, dining, and entertainment, while also serving as a gateway to traditional and trendy neighborhoods, where the city's relaxed teahouse culture, ancient temples, and thriving creative scene coexist. Located just 164 feet (50 meters) from Dongda Road Metro Station, and two metro stops from Chengdu East Railway Station, it also provides effortless connection to iconic attractions such as Taikoo Li, Tianfu Square, and the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

"We're excited to open the doors to Hyatt Centric The Ring Chengdu, welcoming visitors and local residents alike with an experience that embodies Chengdu's culture and lifestyle," said Leow Clavin, General Manager, Hyatt Centric The Ring Chengdu. "With skyline-view rooms, creative dining, and spaces designed for connection, our hotel provides the ideal launchpad for those looking to explore all that the city has to offer while staying right in the midst of the action."

Modern Design Rooted in Heritage

Conceived by the internationally renowned design firm Cheng Chung Design, the hotel's contemporary design draws inspiration from the rich industrial legacy and cultural vitality of the Panchenggang district. Once home to a major steel factory and a thriving community of families who made their livelihoods here, the area is once again full of life, transformed from an industrial powerhouse into a vibrant tapestry of old and new Chengdu.

The design celebrates the duality of the city's past and present, interweaving cultural memories with its modern, dynamic energy. Public spaces echo the spirit of former factory clubs and open-air movie theaters, fostering a warm sense of community, while artworks curated from industrial materials, local archives, and cultural motifs tell of the site's evolution. The result is a thoughtful homage to the area's heritage, reinterpreted with a chic contemporary edge.

Guestrooms and Suites

After a day of exploring, guests can relax in one of 258 guestrooms and suites, all with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking sweeping city views from the 36th floor and above. Each room is a skillful blend of upscale comfort and touches of local character that reflect the area's storied past - from signature furniture pieces crafted with textures of brushed metal and leather, to vintage decorative elements and custom art pieces that reference the local community.

All accommodations feature a stylish bathroom with a walk-in shower, modern amenities such as a smart TV and capsule coffee machine, and a custom pillow menu for personalized comfort. Spacious suites are an ideal option for families and longer stays, featuring additional living areas and deep soaking bathtubs. Meanwhile, those traveling with their canine companions can check into a dog-friendly room that comes with a selection of pet amenities and a private balcony.

Dining and Social Hub

The three dining and bar venues at Hyatt Centric The Ring Chengdu capture the bold spirit of modern Chengdu in authentic Sichuan flavors. In the laid-back bistro-style ambience of Cafe 249, featuring an airy, open layout with a spacious outdoor terrace, guests can indulge in innovative Sichuan dishes, inspired snacks, and local breakfast offerings alongside Cantonese dim sum. This all-day dining destination is adjoined by the hotel's bar, Color Palette, an inviting spot to unwind day or night, whether enjoying an exquisite afternoon tea or mingling over Sichuan-inspired cocktails as the sun sets and the atmosphere buzzes.

Set on its own alfresco terrace, Chinese restaurant Dongda 333 comprises three private dining rooms with expansive city views, offering a refined setting for business, family, and celebratory occasions. Private gatherings are elevated with customized menus that showcase regional cuisines crafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients, complemented by personalized service.

Fitness Facilities

Guests can maintain their exercise routine according to their own schedule in the 24-hour fitness center located on the 36th floor, featuring a comprehensive range of cardio and strength training equipment. Panoramic views of the cityscape from this sky-high vantage point create an inspiring environment for both physical and mental wellbeing.

Meetings & Events

The hotel features five flexible function rooms ranging from 183 to 879 square feet (56 to 268 square meters), suitable for small to medium-sized business meetings, training sessions, and creative workshops. Filled with natural light, each space is designed to foster creativity and connection, equipped for seamless presentations and a dedicated breakout area for networking and refreshments. In addition, a 616-square-foot (188-square-meter) terrace provides an elegant outdoor setting for private celebrations and intimate weddings.
