Conversation Series to bring focus to major challenges and opportunities facing Tulsa

Mayor Monroe Nichols and City leaders are continuing their Community Conversation series with four additional meetings planned this month. These events give residents an opportunity to discuss some of the most important issues facing Tulsa today, including public safety, homelessness, youth outreach, essential services, and other key priorities.

The first meeting focused on public safety, alternative response, and mental health. The upcoming Community Conversation will focus on Essential and Daily Services and will be hosted by Mayor Nichols with panelists Police Chief Dennis Larsen, Fire Chief Michael Baker, Public Works Director Terry Ball, and Water and Sewer Director Eric Lee.

The next event will take place Monday, Oct. 13, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Hardesty Regional Library's Frossard Auditorium, 8316 E. 93rd St., Tulsa, OK 74133.

"The first Community Conversation showed just how engaged and passionate Tulsans are about the future of our city," Mayor Nichols said. "We had great discussions and meaningful feedback that are already helping shape our work. I'm looking forward to continuing those conversations next week as we talk about the essential services that keep Tulsa running every day."
