Teacher Arrested on Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Charge

Detectives from the MNPD's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit tonight arrested Alexander Donahoe, 28, a teacher at Jere Baxter Middle School, on a charge of sexual exploitation of a minor.

This investigation began in March after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported that a computer IP address from Nashville was being used to conduct reverse image searches for sexual pictures of minors. Based on subpoenas to the Internet service provider, Donahoe was identified as the subscriber.

Donahoe tonight admitted to possessing child sexual material. A search warrant was executed at his residence and his electronic equipment was seized for analysis. He is jailed in lieu of $100,000 bond.
