The Broken Arrow City Council, Municipal Authority, and Economic Development Authority considered nearly 60 items on the agendas on May 19, 2026.
Here is a recap from Tuesday night.
Two professional consultant contracts were approved for residential concrete panel replacement projects. The first is with Marquardt Engineering, PLLC, for South Park Estates Third Addition, at $82,500. The second is with Olsson, Inc., for the Steeple Chase Residential Streets Concrete Panel Replacement project, at $72,250. Both are funded by the Street Sales Tax Fund.
The Council approved a Right of Entry Agreement with Union Pacific Railroad to carry out construction of the Grain Silo Improvements Project. The silo, weigh station, and surrounding land were purchased by the city in April 2024. Under this contract, the city will have temporary access to Union Pacific property while minor improvements, such as painting and adding the Rose District logo, are made to the grain silo.
The Council approved eight drainage improvement projects recommended by the Drainage Advisory Committee, totaling $352,000, to be paid from the 2018 General Obligation Bond Fund.
The Council considered a comprehensive plan change for a 52-acre mixed-use development, Creekside Commercial Center. The property is located northwest of Houston Street and the Creek Turnpike.
The Council also discussed a 93-acre Planned Unit Development, Aspen Creek Villas, located north of Tucson Street (121st St.) and about one-quarter mile east of Olive Ave. (129th E. Ave.). Broken Arrow voters recently approved 2026 General Obligation Proposition 1-Transportation, which included a project to widen Tucson Street between Aspen and Olive avenues.
Both land-use applications were approved by the Council.
