Rep. Tran discussed key issues affecting families in CA-45, including the economy, veterans' support, healthcare, and education. He criticized rising costs, highlighting how Republicans' promises to lower prices have fallen short.

Rep. Tran continuously emphasized the commitment that our government must make to our Veterans. He challenged his Republican colleagues on stage to support his "Protect Veteran Jobs Act", the first bill Tran introduced as a member of Congress, to rehire more than 6,000 Veterans who were recklessly fired by the Trump Administration under Elon Musk's orders.

Rep. Tran, the son of refugees who grew up on Medi-Cal, voiced his concerns over GOP proposals to cut $880 billion from healthcare programs. He stressed the importance of expanding Medicare and Medicaid to ensure all Americans have access to the care they need.

In addition to Rep. Tran, the program featured Republican Reps. Mike Lawler of New York and Ryan Mackenzie of Pennsylvania and Democratic Rep. Jahana Hayes of Connecticut. The lawmakers answered questions from a live studio audience made up of Republicans, Democrats and independents, as well as Tapper and Collins. Constituents from each member's district were in the audience.
