Volunteers Needed for OT/Nursing IPE Activity

OT and Nursing faculty are looking for volunteers for an interprofessional education event for occupational therapy and nursing students.

The event will take place Wednesday, November 19, in the Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Simulation at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center from approximately 10:30 am - 12:00 pm. You will act as a patient, who is connected to various lines and tubes, in a simulated acute care or intensive care unit. Nursing and occupational therapy students will work together to transfer you from the bed to a chair or vice versa. No experience is needed! You will not need to memorize any lines or provide any feedback. Simulation staff will be on hand to set you up before and throughout the duration of the event.

Register to volunteer via GivePulse. Questions? Reach out to Orli Weisser-Pike ([email protected]) for more details.
