Leica Camera AG presents two firmware updates that bring comprehensive enhancements to current camera models in the Leica SL-System and the Leica Q3 family. Both these firmware updates will enhance the performance of the respective cameras in key areas, enabling a more precise, faster, and more intuitive shooting experience for photos and video recording.

Firmware version 4.0.0 for the Leica SL-System will significantly enhance the performance of the SL3 and SL3-S, offering crucial advantages. The improved hybrid autofocus reacts even faster and offers far more precise detection of people and animals. The system speed has been optimised, and the SL3's new Multishot mode enables the full-frame system camera to capture images at up to 240 megapixels. Additionally, the SL3 and SL3-S's direct cloud connection to Adobe Frame.io ensures a seamless professional workflow.

Camera models in the Leica Q3 family also benefit from firmware version 4.0.0, which features a completely revised user interface inspired by the highly acclaimed SL3 interface. The new Leica user interface features redesigned icons, an optimised structure, faster navigation and enhanced touch functionality. Combined with the improved autofocus and configurable Leica Looks, the result is an even more personalised and intuitive shooting experience.

Both firmware updates are available immediately and can be installed via the Leica FOTOS App or an SD card.
